(If you know your car has a 4-cylinder Vanguard Motor, such as found in the early TR's, and your valve cover is stock, this gasket should work for you.)
CAD designed to specifically address the shortcomings of the stock pressed steel valve cover!
Details about the gasket:
Made of a high temperature and high performance jet black silicone.
Contoured to match the stock cover's mating surface.
Ribbed for a multiple O-ring type seal - WILL NOT LEAK! (Even if your cover has not aged gracefully!)
High rails on the inside and outside help to locate and lock the gasket in position. (The outside rail also helps to prevent oil spills from traveling beyond the cover.)
The added width to the gasket provides stability and additional surface area to help secure the gasket and seal the cover.
Proven on the street and in vintage racing!
This gasket is guaranteed not to leak!
Engines may last longer as owners may check their valves more regularly!
Stands up to many repeated uses! This gasket will last for years. (Original T4 Gaskets are still running on cars since its introduction in 1997.)
Additional Facts and Information:
The gasket will not work with aftermarket Aluminum covers.
Installation is simple and fast, once the original cork gasket and it's various sealants have been removed!
Early customers had to "pre-condition" the gasket in their home oven before installation; this is no longer required. The gasket is heat treated in an industrial oven before shipping.
If you buy four of these gaskets, you get a fifth gasket for free. If you're a member of a club or can otherwise place five gaskets in good homes, this is an excellent way to reduce your per-gasket cost.
